The desert is the last place you’d picture with flowers and vegetation, yet this is exactly what you’ll find at Desert Botanical Gardens. Here you get to see all kinds of species of trees, cacti and flowers. These plants certainly compliment the desert landscape, giving off a nice contrast.

The garden has a lot to offer. With over 50,000 plants, you get to see tropical and exotic plants from all over the world. There is also a greenhouse and a butterfly exhibit as well as art displays and musical performances throughout the year.

After touring the gardens, you can grab a bite to eat at the on-site restaurant and patio cafe or browse around in the gift shop. You can also hit Old Town Scottsdale, which is about 4 miles north of the gardens. There are plenty of restaurants out there to choose from.
